Our Facilities

The Arthur Levitt Public Affairs Center is located in the Kirner Johnson Building, room 137, on the south campus of Hamilton College. With two glass walls overlooking the fields and woods which surround this scenic, rural college, the seminar room provides an ideal spot for small group meetings of students and faculty.

The resource area makes research using the Internet a pleasant task. We have a multi-platform environment, with three Macintosh computers and three Windows PCs available for student and faculty use, and a trained staff of student assistants to help resolve problems. Special software is available for research, such as SPSS, ArcView, Nvivo and MicroCase, with a laser printer for permanent copies. Various databases aid students and faculty in their research.

Reference books pertaining to the social sciences, periodicals, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times are available in our comfortable lounge area. A TV and VCR provide access to C-span, documentaries and late-breaking news. Coffee and tea add to the relaxed atmosphere.
